Evansville Workshop to Help Businesses Compete for Federal SBIR/STTR Funds
May 11 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm CDTFree
Businesses in the Evansville region are invited to take part in a free workshop on Wednesday, May 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Central time) to learn more about how to successfully vie for federal funds that can help their company grow and compete.
The Indiana Procurement and Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), IN3 (Indiana Innovation Institute) and NavalX Midwest Tech Bridge are providing hands-on assistance to qualifying small businesses. The session will offer guidance on how to take advantage of the federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) programs.
The SBIR and STTR programs both offer qualifying small businesses federal funding opportunities with the goals of stimulating technological innovation, engaging small businesses to meet federal research and development needs, fostering and encouraging participation in innovation and entrepreneurship by socially and economically disadvantaged small businesses, and increasing private sector commercialization of innovations derived from federal R&D funding.
The Evansville session will be in Carter Hall, located on the second floor of the University of Southern Indiana’s University Center West. USI is located at 8600 University Blvd., and a campus map is available at https://www.usi.edu/map.
This will be an in-person event, but there also will be an option for those who prefer to attend virtually. Lunch will be provided for those taking part in person. Those signing up for the virtual option will receive a link once they register.
Registration for the Evansville session is available at https://conta.cc/3jWW8PM.
