IN3 and Booz Allen Hamilton to hold HackIN Hackathon in Indianapolis focused on reverse engineering and cybersecurity
HackIN is a unique hackathon focused on hardware/firmware reverse engineering. Come prepared to learn and demonstrate hardware and software skills in a team with mentorship from industry experts and leaders. Hosted by Indiana Innovation Institute (IN3) and Booz Allen Hamilton, this hackathon is focused on bringing together the brightest minds from Indiana and neighboring universities to innovate and demonstrate reverse engineering techniques to win prizes and learn more about industry opportunities.
Challenge: At HackIN, you play the role of a security researcher on an elite team providing cyber incident response services to Indiana’s top companies. When one of your most high-profile clients discovers and recovers a mysterious device on their grounds, you and your team are called upon to build a replica, determine the device’s true nature, and respond to any malicious discoveries. It’s a race against time with the threat of corporate espionage looming as your client prepares for a major product release – are you up for the challenge?
